Part-Time Fire Inspector

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Part-Time Fire Inspector position. Working as part of a team, the West Chester Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to a community of 65,000 residents, 3,000 businesses occupying 35 square miles. Current hourly rate is $21.70/hour.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Current Ohio Firefighter certification (Level II)
  • Current Ohio Fire Inspector Certification
  • 5 years of experience as a Certified Fire Safety Inspector
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fire ProtectionPlanReview training
  • Fireworks Safety Training
  • Current Ohio EMT certification
  • Fire Investigation training and experience
  • Current CPR Certificate


Position is open until filled; the first review will begin on 9/25/2024. Interviews will start the week of 9/30/2024.
